For the last 30+ years, the 271st District Clerk position has failed to draw an opponent in the election process.  During all these years, that position has been filled from within by a current employee of that department.  After any such extended management of an organization, policies can grow stale and the management techniques become antiquated and unproductive.

My goal for the District Clerk’s office is to provide a continual state of improvement:  working smarter and stressing the importance of customer service and effective use of technology. One technological improvement would be the creation of a District Clerk’s website to provide information necessary to assist the public.  I bring to the position an understanding of county office management, innovative ideas and outlook, and 20+ years of justice court training. 

Being District Clerk has been a dream of mine for years, and now is the perfect time for the pursuit of that dream.  I am giving myself a chance to fulfill my dream, and giving the voters of Wise County a choice for their next District Clerk.
